Cynthia Nixon, Sex and the City and The Big C, diagnosed in 2006 at age 40. Cynthia's doctors discovered a cancerous tumor in her right beast during a routine mammogram. Her treatment was a lumpectomy and radiation. Her mother is also a breast cancer survivor. Cynthia now serves as an ambassador for Susan G Komen for the Cure.
Sheryl Crow, diagnosed 2006 at age 44. Doctors discovered several suspicious calcification in both of her breasts during a routine mammogram. Her treatment was radiation, supplemented with acupuncture and herbal teas. Sheryl was able to ski chemotherapy due to the early discovery of her cancer. Sheryl has no family history of breast cancer. In March 2007 Sheryl petitioned Congress to fund research into possible links between breast cancer and environmental factors.
Edie Falco (Sopranos), diagnosed in 2003 underwent treatment in 2004 and is now listed as cancer-free.
Kylie Minogue (Australian Pop star), diagnosed in 2005 during a second round of tests after a misdiagnosis. Her treatment was a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation.
Elizabeth Edwards, diagnosed in 2004 at age 55 after 4 years of no mammograms. A large lump was found in her right breast. Her treatment was chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. in 2007 doctors discovered the cancer had spread to one of her ribs and possibly her lung. Her doctors declared that she was treatable but not curable at this stage.
Robin Roberts (Good Morning America), diagnosed in 2007 at age 46. She discovered a lump during a breast self exam. Robin's treatment was chemotherapy and radiation and she is now considered to be cancer free.
Jaclyn Smith, diagnosed in 2002 at age 56. A lump was discovered in one of her breasts during a routine checkup. Her treatment was a lumpectomy and radiation. She has since become active in groups such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Christina Applegate, diagnosed in 2008 at age 36. Christina's mother is a breast cancer survivor. Christina's treatment was a double mastectomy.
Melissa Etheridge, diagnosed in 2004 at age 43. Melissa discovered a lump in her left breast during a self examination. Her treatment was chemotherapy, radiation and a lumpectomy. Melissa has lost several of her close family members to cancer.
Diahann Carroll, diagnosed in 1998 at age 63. Diahann's treatment was a lumpectomy and radiation.

Hoda Kotb, (Good Morning America, diagnosed in 2007, treatment was a mastectomy.
René Syler (formerly of The Early Show) diagnosed in 2007, treatment was a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy
Lynn Engrave, diagnosed in 2002
Carly Simon, diagnosed in 1997, treatment was a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery
